Jeff served in the Metropolitan Police for over 32 years, achieving the rank of Borough Commander/Chief Superintendent and served on a number of challenging areas, including Lewisham, where he was devised and then went onto be the Project Manager for the introduction of CCTV Cameras on London’s Buses.
On leaving the Police, Jeff was selected as Assistant Director Community Protection and latterly OIC Integrated Street Management in the City of Westminster. A complete career change saw him selected and trained as Youth Team Leader with The Prince’s Trust working with some of the most vulnerable young people in south London, Surrey and Sussex.
Yet another career change, this time into Politics, saw him selected as one of the first Deputy Police and Crime Commissioners in England and Wales with Surrey Police, where he introduced CyberSafeSurrey and Vulnerable Veterans, as just two of several successful partnerships.
Following that role he was asked by local residents in the area where he lives, to stand as a County Councillor. Elected with the third largest and increased majority in the County, he has served as Deputy Cabinet Member, Chairman of Adult Social Care Select Committee, Planning Committee, Corporate Parenting Board, Chairman of the Reigate and Banstead Local Committee and assorted Task Groups.
